Women's Soccer rallies, twice, in 3-3 tie with Franklin & Marshall

COLLEGEVILLE,  Pa. – Ursinus battled back from a deficit, twice in the match, against Franklin & Marshall to forge a 3-3 tie in a rainy deluge at Patterson Field Saturday night in women's soccer play.

Trailing 2-0 after one half, Ursinus scored two goals and got another on an own goal.

F&M started off with a goal in the 6th minute as junior forward Spencer Plante (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) scored for the Dips, followed by a goal from junior midfielder Nicole Rynecki at 22:50.

In the 55th minute, Ursinus got on the board as an F&M defender deflected the ball back into their own net. Ursinus would tie the score at 2-all with freshman midfielder Julia Senkevich scored in the 81st minute off of a rebound.

Rynecki scored her second goal of the game in the 85th minute on an assist from senior forward Stephanie Bartner (Florham Park, N.J./Morristown-Beard) off of a header for a 3-2 Diplomats lead.

Just 1:42 later, senior midfielder Nicole Good (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) scored on an assist from sophomore Paige Abronski (Cherry Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace) as Good's shot hit the top of the crossbar and bounced in.

Ursinus had 20 shots to F&M's 12 on the night.



Diplomat goalkeeper senior Amanda McGowan made 12 saves on the night, while senior goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) made three.
