Women's Soccer drops home opener, 2-1, to Swarthmore

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Swarthmore sophomore forward Emma Sindelar scored twice in the first half as the Garnet (4-2, 2-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (2-5, 0-2 Centennial) 2-1 in women's soccer play on Wednesday.

Sindelar scored in the 14th and 20th minute for the Garnet.

Ursinus' lone goal came in the 44th minute as junior forward Sarah Cogswell (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson) scored on an assist from senior midfielder Leah Shaw (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional).

For Ursinus, junior goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) made seven saves, while freshman goalie Reba Magier made three for Swarthmore.
