Bears Wrestling Finishes Fifth at Messiah Invitational

GRANTHAM, Pa. - For the second consecutive year, Terry Adams took home the Individual title and the Ursinus College wrestling team finished in the top five at the Messiah Invitational.

Adams took home the crown at 125 pounds for the Bears, who racked up 104 team points to finish in fifth.  Terry Adams was lights out on the afternoon, as he avenged a loss from 2019-20 against a conference opponent from Washington & Lee, and didn't allow a single offensive point throughout the tournament.

Joe Jamison and his coaching staff put five wresters in the semifinals as both Jagger Clapsadle (133) and Dante Monaco finished 4th for the Bears in their collegiate debuts.

Shawn Marchesano (157) recorded a 5th place finish as Romeo Rodriguez (133), Kyle Schaffer (197), and Gary Nagle (184) placed 6th for the Bears.

The Bears will return to action on Saturday, November 13th as they host the Racich Rumble Invitational.
