LANCASTER, Pa. – Four Ursinus College wrestlers officially received their All-Centennial Conference awards Friday morning after standout performances at the conference championship.
Terry Adams was a first team All-CC performer thanks to his 125-pound championship, which he secured via a 13-5 major decision opposite McDaniel's Nick Malinowski.
Alfred Corradetti (149), Jason Carter (197), and Ben Maack (285) all attained All-CC honorable mention by placing runner-up in their respective brackets.
Corradetti upset Washington and Lee's Alex Winant (6-2) and Merchant Marine's Steve Sheilds (pin) – the tournament's respective third and second seeds – to reach the title bout, where he fell to Muhlenberg's Austin Sherman.
Carter made his first CC championship appearance count, pinning Gettysburg's Jon Stix and cruising to a 12-2 major decision against Merchant Marine's Andrew French before conceding an 8-3 decision to Muhlenberg's Luca Colestock, the nation's 6th-ranked wrestler.
Maack edged W&L's Clay Chadwick, 5-4, to gain the heavyweight final, where he lost a narrow 7-4 decision to Muhlenberg's Scott Schaeffer.
The four all-conference performers are the most for the Bears since notching seven at the 2015 CC championship.
