COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College wrestling team sent its seniors off in style with a pair of commanding victories on Saturday, the squad's final tune-up for regionals.

Patrick Ammirati, Anthony Cutrufello, Zachary Goranson, and Patrick Rowe all picked wins in contested bouts on Senior Day for the Bears, who easily dispatched Williamson (45-6) and Penn State Mont Alto (56-0) to cap the dual-meet season with a 9-3 record. That trio was honored alongside Zachary Dellicompagni, Jarret DiGiantomasso, Edward Howlette, William McGinley, and Zebulin Pfeiffer in a pre-match ceremony.

After a pair of forfeits in the opening match against Williamson, two of eight on the day, freshman Kyle Seibert opened the proceedings by pinning Jeremy Gannon with 13 seconds remaining in the second period at 141 pounds.

Goranson picked up a 16-0 technical fall in less than two minutes at 165, and rookie Gary Nagle took down Avery Frank in just 2:18 at 174.

Cutrufello added another fall to his team-leading tally by dropping Nick Venuti in the waning seconds of the second period at 184.

Freshman Kyle Schaffer recorded an 11-1 major decision over Michael O'Brien at 197.

Wickramaratna was able to compete against Mont Alto and took advantage, pinning Dan Bertram midway through the second period of their 125-pound bout.

Ammirati followed with a 10-7 decision over Mason Blank at 133, and Seibert notched a 23-7 technical fall defeat of Bryce Palamar at 141.

Rowe pinned Mitchell Krcelic early in the second period at 149 before Howlette received a forfeit at 157.

Goranson made it a 2-0 day with a quick pin of Joe Mays at 165. The final four weight classes were all forfeits by Mont Alto.
