Lewis, Leonzi Earn All-Centennial Conference Honors.

2022 All-CC Team

LANCASTER, PA. - A pair of standout Ursinus College women's lacrosse student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding seasons with spots on the All-Centennial Conference team.  

Senior defender Becca Lewis earned a first team selection, while first-year Maeve Leonzi received a second team all-conference selection.  

Lewis was a lockdown defender for the Bears, leading the conference with 60 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers. She started every game this season for Ursinus and closes out her career appearing in 39 games with 99 career ground balls and 79 caused turnovers. The Phoenixville, Pennsylvania native tallied four or more caused turnovers in five games this season while scooping up four or more ground balls in nine contests.  

Leonzi had a breakout campaign in her first year with the Bears, tallying a team-high 42 goals while dishing out 7 assists. The Allentown, Pennsylvania native ranked within the top 15 in the conference in shots (5th), goals (7th), and points (15th).  Leonzi tallied nine hattricks in her rookie season, including a five goal one assist performance in the Bears 15-12 victory over Stockton on March 16.  

Senior Alice Nathanson was named to the All-Sportsmanship team. Nathanson started 17 games this season for the Bears and caused nine turnovers while collecting 11 ground balls.
