Women's Lacrosse tripped up by Dickinson, 14-6

CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored the first five goals of the contest as the Red Devils (7-2, 2-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (5-3, 1-1 Centennial) 14-6 on Saturday afternoon in women's lacrosse action.

Jennifer Morrissey had three goals for the Red Devils, while Sydney Stern and Maddy Siebold each had two in the victory.

Ursinus was led by sophomore midfielder Devin Brakel who had three goals, with freshman attack Emma Ebert scoring two and freshman midfielder Jayme Verman netting one.

Trailing 5-0, Ursinus went on a short 3-1 run to get to within three at 6-3 but could not get any closer.

Individually, freshman defenders Lisa Grous and Courtney Novak each had two ground balls, with senior midfielder Caroline Cannon netting three draw controls. Sophomore goalkeeper Margaret Philbin had seven saves in the loss.
