Lamarca Finishes Third as Women's Golf Wins Eastern Invitational

ST. DAVIDS, PA. - In their first action of the spring season on Thursday, the Ursinus College women's golf team opened with a strong performance at the Eastern Invitational held at the St. Davids Golf Club. The Bears placed first as a team with a score of 421 (+141), with two members finishing in the top 8. 

 

Jessica Lamarca paced the Bears shooting an 88 (+18) and finishing 3rd overall. Ursinus tallied a team total of 421 points, just in front of second place Cabrini who finished with 444 total points.  

 

First-year Kaylin Chen had an impressive performance finishing 8th overall while shooting a 96 (+26). Senior Carolyn DeCicco recorded a score of 116 (+46), finishing 10th overall and third among Bear golfers. Sophomore Rebecca Chernoff posted a score of 121 (+51) to finish fourth among the Bears and first-year Elliot Schott finished with a 132 (+62). Sophomore Bailey Hann rounded out the Bears scores with a 147 (+77).  

 

The Bears will return to action on April 1st for the Arcadia invitational held at Eagle Ridge Golf Course.
