Lamarca Tied for 5th After Day 1

LANCASTER, Pa. – Jessica Lamarca put herself in the mix for a top-five finish and all-conference honors with a solid first-round showing at the Centennial Conference championship on Saturday.

Lamarca finished the day tied for fifth place after shooting a 93 as the Ursinus College women's golf teamed opened the league championship at Conestoga Country Club. The top five individual finishers and ties at the conclusion of Sunday's final round receive All-CC recognition. Lamarca is one shot out of fourth place and nine behind the leader, Marymount's Isabel Trojillo. The Saints have the top two individuals after Saturday and look set to run away with the team title and the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship.

Lamarca got off to a rough start, opening with a double-triple-double on the first three holes and carding a 48 on the front nine. She steadied herself on the back, grabbing a birdie on the par-3 11th and ending with a par on No. 18.

Addisen Miller is tied for 15th after shooting a 105 on Saturday. She posted pars on No. 2 (par-3) and No. 13 (par-4).

Rebecca Chernoff (128), Carolyn DeCicco (131), and Bailey Hann (139) rounded out the Bears' contingent.
