Lamarca Claims Top Prize Again

MALVERN, Pa. – Jessica Lamarca took home her second first-place finish of the season to headline the Ursinus College women's golf team's performance at the Cabrini Invitational on Monday.

The Bears have competed in three events this spring, and Lamarca has won two of them. Monday's effort at White Manor Country Club wasn't quite up to the standard of her season-opening 82 at the McDaniel Invitational, but the junior's 94-stroke round still left her as the only golfer below the century mark. Lamarca cruised to victory with a six-shot cushion over the Cavaliers' Vic Monterosso.

Lamarca posted a 44 on the front nine, which featured two pars and five bogeys. She added another par and five bogeys on the back nine.

Addisen Miller, fresh off her runner-up showing at the Gettysburg Invitational just two days prior, placed third this time around. She notched six bogeys on the way to a 108.

Carolyn DeCicco shot a 120, including a par on the par-3 8th hole. Bailey Hann notched a pair of bogeys and carded a 129, while Rebecca Chernoff was one stroke behind her with a 130.

The Bears' next scheduled competition is the Centennial Conference championship, slated for April 17 at Conestoga Country Club.
