Women's Golf Hosts Fall Invitational

POTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's golf team opened the 2019-20 campaign on Tuesday when it hosted the annual fall invitational at Raven's Claw Golf Club. The Bears turned in a team tally of 500 in their first action of the fall.

Carolyn DeCicco led Ursinus with a tournament-best 103 including a pair of pars on the par-3 third and par-3 14th holes. She shot a 49 on the back nine.

Addisen Miller made a birdie on the par-4 second hole en route to a 109. She was remarkably consistent on the afternoon, carding a 54 on the front nine and a 55 on the back.

Alissa DiGuglielmo finished with a 122 and made some personal history, notching her first career par on the sixth hole, a par-3. She also tallied two bogeys.

Caela Flake made her collegiate debut with a 166, posting three doubles, and Suzanne Angermeier scored 182.

Stevenson ran away with the team title, totaling 306 strokes to land 38 clear of runner-up East Stroudsburg. Alvernia's Yupha Muzyka shot 71 to take individual medalist honors.

The Bears return to action at the Eastern Invitational on October 9.
