Women's Golf breaks record for second straight week

LINGLESTOWN, Pa. – The women's golf team set another school record on Sunday, at the Dickinson Fall Invitational as the Bears scored 372. They broke the record for the second week in a row, shaving 11 strokes off last week's record.

The team finished sixth in the 13 team tournament.

Freshman Rebecca Chiger paced the Bears with an 87, just two off the school record.  Chiger finished in 8th place in a field of over 60 players.  Sophomore Sarah Thompson carded a 93, good for a tie for 21st.

Freshman Emily McGarrigle and Senior Captain Rebecca Honor each shot 96 and finished in the top half of the field.

Freshmen Matison Leand and Maddie Noonan shot 99 and 105 respectively to complete the scoring for the Bears.

The women compete again at the Ursinus Invitational on Tuesday at Raven's Claw Golf Club.
