CHESTERTOWN, Md. -  Washington got 12 points and 14 rebounds from Latisha Pledger as the Shorewomen (4-3 Centennial, 5-8) pulled away late from Ursinus (4-3 Centennial, 6-6) 53-43 in women's basketball play on Tuesday. 

Ursinus was led by sophomore forward Jessica Porada who netted a team-high ten points and grabbed eight rebounds. Freshman guard Gianna Pownall and sophomore guard Caroline Shimrock each had seven points for UC.

Ursinus did lead by four midway through the first half, but, trailed by two at intermission. Washington would eventually build the lead as high as 12 in the second half. 

Ursinus will host Hopkins on Saturday.
