Women's Basketball drops season opener to Juniata, 83-58

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Ursinus College sophomore forward Jessica Porada (Morristown, N.J./Morris Catholic) had 16 points and 14 rebounds but the Bears (0-1) dropped their season opener on Friday night by a 83-58 score to Juniata (1-0) at the Messiah Tip-Off Tournament.

Senior guard Diamond Lewis (East Windsor, N.J./Stuart Country Day) was the only other player to reach double figures, scoring 13 on 6-of-9 shooting. 

Sophomore forward Tori Steinberg (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) had eight points off the bench.

Juniata put all five starters in double figures, paced by 20 points from forward Kelsey Livoti and 15 points and 12 rebounds from guard Jordan Hileman. 

Ursinus never led in the contest, and Juniata pulled away with a 9-0 run that increased their lead from 14-13 to 23-13 early in the first half.
