Women's Basketball drops road game to Gettysburg, 64-48

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – After leading by one at halftime, Ursinus made just five field goals over the final 20 minutes of the game as the Bears (10-11, 7-9 Centennial) dropped a 64-48 decision to Gettysburg (15-6, 12-4 Centennial) on Saturday afternoon in women's basketball play.

Ursinus shot just 20 percent in the second half and scored five points over the final ten minutes allowing the Bullets to pull away.

The Bears were led by 16 points from freshman guard Alyssa Polimeni (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) and ten points from freshman forward Caroline Shimrock (Lansdale, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy).

Caroline Murphy had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Bullets, with Jessica Porter scoring 18 points.

The Bears travel to Haverford on Wednesday.
