BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Ursinus held Bryn Mawr to just one field goal over the last 9:21 of the first as the Bears (10-10, 7-8 Centennial) defeated the Owls (1-18, 0-15) 60-33 on Thursday night.
The Bears were led by 23 points from freshman forward Jessica Porada (Morristown, N.J./Morris Catholic) and 15 rebounds, while freshman guard Alyssa Polimeni (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) added in 16 points.
Freshman forward Tori Steinberg (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored ten as the Bears trailed only once on the opening basket.
For Bryn Mawr, Nicolette Parmese scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds.
Ursinus led 31-8 at halftime and led by as much as 32 points in the second half.
The Bears head to Gettysburg Saturday.
