Pulling Ahead

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's basketball team improved to a 10-5 record in conference play (11-9 Overall) with a 56-27 win over host Bryn Mawr College (0-17, 0-13 Centennial on Tuesday evening. 

The Bears were lead by senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's), who netted eleven points and grabbed five rebounds in the win.  Senior guards Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) and Kristy George (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) each contributed ten points in the win.  Junior forward Amber Yacenda (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) lead Ursinus with eight rebounds on the evening, with seven coming off of the defensive glass.

Ursinus shot 44.4% from the floor, while collecting 47 rebounds and eleven steals in the contest.

Bryn Mawr was lead by Nicolette Parmese, who sank seven of twenty-two shots on her way to 16 points for the Owls. 

With the win, the Bears move into sole possession of fourth place in the Centennial, and if the season were to end today would host Gettysburg in a playoff match at home.

Ursinus takes the floor Saturday, hosting Gettysburg in a key Centennial Conference match-up.  Tip is set for 1 pm.
