Pulling Away

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Homestanding Muhlenberg held Ursinus to one field goal over the final 7:28 of the first half as the Mules (13-2, 8-2 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (7-9, 6-5 Centennial) 72-55 Wednesday night in women's basketball play.

Muhlenberg put four players in double figures with Alita Zabrecky going for 17, as Kathleen Naddaff chipped in with 16. 

Ursinus was led by senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St.Basil's) who had a game-high 23 points and 14 rebounds. Senior guard Kristy George (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) had seven points with sophomore forward Devin Butchko (Cream Ridge, N.J./Stuart Country Day) scoring eight off the bench.

Ursinus' biggest lead came at 15-12 when Butchko made back-to-back jumpers with 9:55 left in the first half. 

In the second half, Ursinus would cut it to three at 33-30 with 16:10 left on a pair of foul shots by Butchko put could not get any closer.

Ursinus heads to Swarthmore on Saturday.
