Taming the Terror

Westminster, Md. – The Ursinus College women's basketball team grabbed its first win of 2012 with a 68-54 victory over host McDaniel College Wednesday evening.

Ursinus (5-6, 4-2 Centennial) placed three scorers in double-digits on the evening, with senior forward Lindsay Tueber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's) pacing the Bears with 19 points and 17 rebounds.  Senior guard Kristy George (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) contributed 17 for Ursinus while senior guard Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) netted 15 on the night.

The Bears jumped out to an early lead over the Green Terror, scoring the first eleven points of the contest and not allowing a McDaniel basket until 13:38 of the first half.  The Green Terror would come within one with 12:03 left in the second, but Ursinus would close the game on a 20-8 run.

Ursinus shot near forty percent from the field and held a 43-37 advantage in rebounding while the Green Terror shot thirty percent from the field.
