YORK, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's basketball team dropped its second game of the weekend, falling to FDU-Florham in overtime by a score of 84-82 in the consolation game of the Coaches Versus Cancer Classic held at York College (Pa.).

The Bears (4-6) placed five players in double digits, with senior guard Kristy George (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), leading the Bears with 21 points.  Senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's), netted 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while sophomore guard Diamond Lewis (East Windsor, N.J./Stuart Country Day) added 14 points of her own. For her efforts, Lewis was named to the all-tournament team.

The Bears also got 11 points from senior guard Jen Sroba (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), with senior guard Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) scoring ten points.

FDU-Florham (5-7) had three players in triple digits, as Jalessa Lewis lead the Devils with 26 points, Kyra Dayon netting 18 points, and Leigh-Ann Lively scoring 14 points.

Ursinus forced the overtime in a weird sequence of events, as junior forward Amber Yacenda (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) was intentionally fouled while shooting a three-pointer as the buzzer sounded. With the red light still on, she sank all three foul shots to forced the extra session.

The Bears started the overtime period on a 4-0 run, but it was not enough to keep FDU-Florham at bay as the Devils went up by one with six seconds left on a lay-up by Lewis.  Lewis sunk the ensuing free-throw attempt to finish the game. Ursinus was held without a basket in the final 2:20 of the overtime.

Early on, it was all Ursinus as George hit three straight baskets as the Bears went up 10-2 with 15:24 left in the first half and held that lead until FDU took the lead at 22-20 on a layup. With the score tied at 23-all, FDU finished the half on a 8-3 run to go up 31-26.

The Devils led most of the second half, with Ursinus taking a four point lead at 59-55 with 4:57 left on a layup by Lewis.

Ursinus next travels to McDaniel College for a match-up with the Green Terror on Wednesday, January 4th.  Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
