HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Basketball Team dropped its Wednesday evening tilt to Haverford College by a score of 47-42 at Gooding Arena.
The Bears (3-4, 2-2 Centennial) were lead by senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's), who had a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds. Senior guard Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) tallied eight points, sinking two of her four three point attempts as well as two of her four free throws. Sophomore guard Diamond Lewis (East Windsor, N.J./Stuart Country Day) had a team high four steals in the contest, in addition to scoring seven points.
The teams left the floor knotted at 16-all at the intermission, with Ursinus limiting its turnovers to two yet the Bears were out-rebounded during the half. Ursinus led at the half despite shooting just 5-for-32 from the field.
Coming out of the half, the Fords (6-2, 3-2 Centennial) came out on a 3-0 run, with the Bears only claiming the lead one more time during the game, at 13:38 on a jumper by Kristy George (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) to make the score 25-24. Haverford regained the lead, and held Ursinus without a field goal for a span of 10:30 in the second half.
Ursinus will play host to the Red Devils of Dickinson College at 1 p.m. in Helfferich Hall.
