COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – It was a balanced attack for Ursinus on Thursday night in its home opener against Bryn Mawr, as the Bears defeated the Owls 77-43.
Senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's) scored a team-high 14 points, as 11 other players scored for Ursinus (2-3, 1-1 Centennial) in the win. Senior guard Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) along with sophomore forward Liz Martin (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) had nine points for Ursinus.
Bryn Mawr was led by sophomore forward Nicolette Parmese who had 17 points and ten rebounds, with sophomore forward Jackie Handy grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds.
Ursinus pulled away early on a 22-2 run after the Owls took a slim 3-2 lead a minute into the game. The Bears also grabbed 17 steals (three by Teuber and sophomore guard Diamond Lewis (East Windsor, N.J./Stuart Country Day)) and had ten blocks, five of which came from Teuber.
The Bears host Swarthmore on Saturday.
