Reading, Pa. – The Ursinus Women's Basketball team earned their first win of the game Tuesday night, defeating the Lions of Albright College by a score of 56-54. Senior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's had a game high 18 points while sophomore guard Liz Martin (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) netted 12 for the Bears. Senior guard Kristy George (Whitehalll, Pa./Whitehall) added 10 points for Ursinus.
The Bears controlled the glass, out-rebounding the Lions by a 50-30 margin. Ursinus sophomore guard Sarah Martin (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) contributed a team-high 11 rebounds. Senior guard Alli Rosati (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) contributed seven rebounds of her own, along with eight points on the evening.
Ursinus was 13-17 from the charity stripe, while shooting just over 33 percent from beyond the arc.
The Bears return to action exactly one week from tonight with a trip to conference rival Franklin & Marshall. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
