Women's Basketball outlasted by Muhlenberg, 67-61

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Muhlenberg broke open a 44-all tie midway through the second half by outscoring Ursinus 12-5 as the Mules (19-5, 16-4 Centennial) defeated the Bears (15-10, 11-9 Centennial) 67-61 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall.

The loss, coupled with wins by Swarthmore and Franklin & Marshall, gave Ursinus the fifth seed in the upcoming playoffs and the Bears will travel to Lancaster to face the Dips on Wednesday evening.

For Ursinus, junior forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) had 15 points with freshman guard Diamond Lewis (East Windsor, N.J./Stuart Country Day) adding in 11. Senior forward Alex Shivers (Pine Beach, N.J/Toms Rivers South) had ten points for the Bears.

Muhlenberg was led by guard Alexandra Chili who had 20 points, with guard Alexandra Berlin scoring 11 and grabbing 12 rebounds. Muhlenberg had a 42-30 lead on the glass, including 23-12 edge on the offensive side. Muhlenberg will be the second seed in the upcoming playoffs and will face Gettysburg.

The game was won on the foul line as Muhlenberg was 20-for-25 (80 percent) with Ursinus going 15-for-17 (88.2 percent).
