Bears pick up 62-54 win at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - Ursinus sophomore guard Alli Rosati (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks East) had a game-high 15 points, while freshman forward Amber Yacenda (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) and junior guard Jaclyn Hilf (Maple Glen, Pa./Upper Dublin) each had 12 as the Bears (6-5, 4-3 Centennial) defeated Dickinson (7-3, 3-3 Centennial) 62-54 Wednesday night in women's basketball play.

The win marked the first W for the Bears at the Kline Center for the first time since 1998.

Sophomore forward Lindsay Teuber (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil's) threw in eight points and collected 11 rebounds as the Bears shot 55 percent from the field in the first half on the way to the win.

Brooke Muller scored ten points for the homestanding Red Devils, while Alesha Sisco, Dana Walsh and Lindsay Finnerty each added in nine.

Ursinus trailed by four points early, before taking the lead for good at 12-10 on a pair of foul shots by Teuber at the 13:23 mark. Those two free throws were part of a 7-2 run that gave Ursinus a 17-12 lead with 10:31 to go as Hilf drained a three-pointer.

The Bears would go up by as much as ten with 8:13 left (24-14) before the Red Devils rallied back to within one at 28-27 with 4:11 left. Ursinus closed the half on an 11-0 run to go up 39-27 as Hilf hit a three-pointer with four seconds left.

Up by 16 with 18:37 left in regulation, Ursinus saw Dickinson claw all the way back to within two at 43-41 with 14:46 left. However, Ursinus' defense didn't break as Dickinson would tie the score twice, but, the Bears would not give up the lead.

The Bears pulled way with a 7-0 run after the Devils tied the score at 51-all.

Teuber tallied four steals, as the Bears will next be in action on Tuesday at Gettysburg.
