Men's Cross Country 14th at Gettysburg Invitational

The Ursinus College men's cross country team competed at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. The Bears finished 14th.

The Meet
240 total runners and 28 total teams competed,mostly D3, but also a few D1 & D2 schools as well as a professional team (Georgetown Running Club) Conditions were cool and windy. Jared Flank of Muhlenberg won the 8k race in 25:59. Salisbury University won the team title.
The Bears
Joe Iuliucci was our top finisher. He ran 27:54, good for 57th. The race was a personal best for Joe. First time he has dipped under 27 minutes
Andrew Mackin (28:29), Evan Cirafesi (28:46), Andrew Voyak (29:13), Jamie Hartop (29:25), and Jason Rudich (29:45) rounded out our top 5. Cirafesi, Voyak, and Rudich all ran personal best times.


Coaches Corner

I was overall happy with how are men raced today. They came ready to compete and got after it from the start resulting in many personal best performances. This will give us the confidence we need as we approach the championship season.
