Men's XC gets back to work at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's cross country team ran at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University today. The Bears ran in the open race, and no team score was kept.

Junior Andrew Mackin (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) led the way with a personal best 28:34, breaking 29 minutes for the first time in his career.

Freshman Malcolm Rambert (Princeton, N.J./Notre Dame) had a personal best 28:36, with junior Vince Flood (Jamison, Pa./Holy Ghost) getting a season best 29:07.

Freshman Joe Iuliucci (Haddon Township, N.J./Haddon Township) finished at 29:13, just two seconds off his personal best, while junior David Slade (Abington, Pa./Abington) had a season best 29:46.

Season bests were also turned in by sophomore Luke Schlegel (Wallingford, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) (29:56) and junior Jamie Hartop (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) (30:12).

All ten runners from Ursinus ran a personal or season best today, according to head coach Carl Blickle.
