ALL-CC Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Men's Track & Field saw a school record 14 student-athletes take home a whopping 25 All-Conference nods for their performances at the Centennial Outdoor Championships, announced by the conference on Wednesday.

In addition to the selections, the Bears swept the major conference awards with senior Tyler Reilly being named Outstanding Track Performer, senior Nick Galbraith taking home Outstanding Field Performer, freshman Brody Myers garnering the Outstanding Rookie Nod, and head coach Carl Blickle was named Coach of the Year

The team consists of top three finishers (except for third-place relay teams) for each event at the 2022 Centennial Women's Track & Field Outdoor Championships that were held from May 6th to 8th.

Blickle was selected Coach of the Year for the first time in his career for the outdoor championship after leading the Bears to their first-ever Centennial Conference Championship and first overall team title since 1987. He helped Ursinus rack up a school record 215 points and earned men's coach of the year during the indoor season as well.

Reilly put on a legendary performance at Centennial Conference Championships by winning four medals on Sunday with two individuals and two from relays to earn four first team All-Centennial nods. He earned gold for the second time in the 400 and the 4x400 relay for outdoor season while earning gold in the 200 and 4x100 for the first time in the spring championship. Reilly amassed 40 points for both the indoor and outdoor championships this season and will finish with 25 career medals between the two track seasons. Reilly is the first Bear to be named most outstanding track performer since Brandon Evans won it back-to-back in 2005 and 2006.

The 4x100-meter relay unit of Reilly, senior Octavious Carter, senior Zach Crebbin, and junior Daniel Tabor set a new school, conference, and championship meet record on their time of 41.94 on the final day of championships. The 4x400 team that consisted of Reilly, Tabor, junior Payton Stanziani, and sophomore Devon Greaves put the finishing touches on the Bears title with a time of 3:19.62 during the final event of the weekend.

Galbraith was firing all weekend in the throws for the Bears as he earned two gold medals, one bronze medal, and placed in all four events he competed in over the championship weekend. Galbraith used a personal best in the shot put by nearly two full meters with his winning mark of 15.56 meters and medaled in the javelin for the first time in his career after topping his previous personal best by .01 with his throw of 48.83 meters. He opened the weekend by winning the hammer throw for the second time in his career after posting a winning throw of 163-9 ft. Galbraith is the second-straight Bear to be named the most outstanding field performer at Outdoor Championships after Griffin McMann earned the laurel in 2021.

Myers cleared the bar on the pole vault at a school record 15-1 ft. to complete his gold medal sweep of the pole vault between the indoor and outdoor championships. Myers became the first Bear in program history to win gold in the men's pole vault at outdoor championships and is the first Ursinus men's track & Field athlete to be named outstanding rookie performer since Sam Pope in 2016.

Crebbin earned individual first team honors for the first time in his career after taking first place in the high jump. He cleared the bars at 1.91 meters and won a four-way tiebreaker by virtue of having fewest fouls in the event. Crebbin also earned second team honors in the long jump after registering the silver medal in the event behind his mark of 6.85 meters.

Battle recorded a pair of second team All-Centennial nods after recording silver medals in both the hammer throw and discus throw at championships. The medals in the discus and the hammer were the firsts for his career after he earned first team honors for his gold in the weight throw at Indoor Championships.

The 4x800 relay team of freshman Paul Faggioli, freshman David Kenny, sophomore Tucker McGrath, and freshman Christian Rosado served as the unsung heroes of the weekend after finishing in second with a new school record time of 7:51.95. The group blitzed the Bears school record by nearly 14 full seconds while topping their old previous best mark by 28 seconds. The four are the first to earn All-Centennial honors for the event in program history.

Tabor added to his pair of first team honors from relay teams by garnering second team honors in the 400-meter dash after finishing runner-up to Reilly. He set a new personal best in the 400 by earning his silver medal with a time of 49.05. Maloney recorded his second-career All-Centennial honor in the 110-meter hurdles after grabbing the bronze medal behind his time of 15.60. He earned second team honors in the event in 2021.

Freshman Mason Jolivette was the Ursinus representative on the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team.
