McMann Puts up Big PR

WINCHESTER, Va. – Griffin McMann added more than a foot to his personal best in the shot put for the Ursinus College men's track and field team, which brought a small group to Shenandoah University for the South Region Final Qualifier on Saturday.

McMann won gold at the Centennial Conference indoor championships last weekend but outdid himself in a big way with a toss of 50 feet, 8.25 inches. The mark was 13 inches clear of his championship throw and put him in a tie for 42nd in Division III this season.

Tyler Reilly, Bradley Duncan-Taylor, Payton Stanziani, and Andre Kelly completed the 4x400-meter relay in 3:23.45, more than two seconds faster than the clocking the Bears posted in winning at the CC championships. The Bears' quartet now stands just .04 seconds outside the top-50 on the national performance list.

Octavious Carter logged a 7.14 in the 60-meter dash, while Dylan Simms finished the 800 in 1:59.77.

George Psaradakis competed in both the weight throw (36-00.25) and shot put (38-1.50).
