COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team continues to rise up the regional rankings.

The Bears moved up four spots to No. 5 in Mideast Region according to the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rating Index. They rank behind only No. 1 Johns Hopkins among Centennial Conference programs.

Ursinus is showcasing a remarkable depth of talent this indoor season. Octavious Carter (2nd), Aviv Hogan Appell (7th), Austin Bittenbender (9th), and Jose Morales (T-10th) are all among the CC's top-10 in the 60-meter dash, while Tyler Reilly (2nd), Payton Stanziani (3rd), Bittenbender (5th), and Bradley Duncan-Taylor (9th) are doing the same in the 400. Bittenbender (3rd), Carter (5th), and Hogan Appell (T-8th) are in the top-10 of the 200.

Andre Kelly ranks third in the 800, while the Bears' 4x400-meter relay unit leads the conference. Daniel Maloney is first in the 60-meter hurdles.

Zach Crebbin is second in the high jump, while Bittenbender is third in the long jump; he also ranks sixth in the triple jump and ninth in the high jump.

Griffin McMann sits atop the league charts in the shot put, with Nick Galbraith in 3rd, Matthew Byrnes in 6th, and Harrison Bonanny in 8th. Galbraith is first in the CC in the weight throw.
