Men's T&F Dominates 400 in Boston

BOSTON, Mass. – The Centennial Conference's 400-meter dash leaderboard belongs entirely to the Ursinus College men's track and field team.

Tyler Reilly led an incredible performance by the Bears' sprinters on the second day of Boston University's Valentine Invitational, crossing the line in 50.50 seconds with the best time in the conference this season. Payton Stanziani (50.62) and Austin Bittenbender (50.75) were hot on his heels, and Bradley Duncan-Taylor (51.24) gave Ursinus the top four marks in the league.

Andre Kelly also grabbed a CC-leading time of his own, clocking a 1:55.43 in the 800. Dylan Simms moved to fifth in the conference with a massive PR (1:58.71).

Reilly, Duncan-Taylor, Stanziani, and Kelly gave the indoor school record a serious challenge in the 4x400-meter relay, posting a time of 3:21.22 to surge into the CC lead.

Bittenbender headlined a strong effort in the 200 with a 23.05, while Aviv Hogan Appell jumped to fourth in the CC with a PR 23.16. Octavious Carter came in at 23.30, while Jose Morales (23.66) and Brandon Slaboda (23.99) sandwiched personal bests around Brody Johnson's 23.78.

Marcos Maciel led a string of PRs in the mile with a 4:28.68. Edward Martinez grabbed one at 4:31.70, as did Colin McCarty (4:34.59) and Kyle Berardi (4:35.18). James McDaid completed the race in 4:33.35.

Griffin McMann (47-9) and Nick Galbraith (44-1.25) competed in the shot put, and Galbraith also took part in the weight throw (44-9.75).

Zach Crebbin cleared 6-2.75 in the high jump.
