SALEM, Va. – The Ursinus College track and field teams took a trip to Virginia for the Finn Pincus Invitational hosted by Roanoke College on Saturday, registering an array of top-10 finishes and moving up the Centennial Conference performance lists in several events.

The men's 4x400-meter relay grouping of junior Jequan Mitchell, freshman Codi Yhap, sophomore Sam Pope, and freshman Andre Kelly placed second with a time of 3:24.89 that stands as the best in the CC by more than four full seconds.

The women's 4x400 also registered an impressive mark, as junior Catherine Buczek, junior Katherine Damato, junior Jenna Kelly, and sophomore Brittany Gasser were third in 4:15.79, good for third in the CC and only .81 seconds off the pace set by Johns Hopkins.

Pope was a standout in the triple jump, placing fourth overall and extending his conference-leading leap to 45-5.00.

Yhap and Mitchell both finished in the top 10 of the 200-meter dash. Yhap took seventh with a personal best of 23.41, which vaulted him up to a tie for sixth on the CC performance list, while Mitchell placed 10^th in 23.52.

Buczek registered a season-best 1:02.78 to take fourth in the 400, moving into eighth in the conference.

In the Bears' lone event on Friday, sophomore Morgan Cope recorded a collegiate best 9-9.25 in the pole vault, vaulting to her sixth on the CC charts.

Freshman John Haase and Gasser marked season lows in the 800. Haase crossed the line in ninth with a 2:01.94 that places him 13^th in the conference, while Gasser ascended to ninth in the CC with a 2:25.82 that was good for fourth overall. In addition to Gasser, sophomore Gabrielle Manto was 16^th in 2:33.57 and junior Lily Talerman finished 17^th in 2:35.90.

Senior Erin Farrell was just off her season best in the 200, placing seventh in 27.05, just .05 seconds off her top mark established last week.

Freshman Sophia Simoes placed 14^th in the shot put (10.31 m).

In the mile, freshman James McDaid (4:41.25) and sophomore Riley Engle (5:46.20) each placed 14^th. Junior Joseph Iuliucci finished third with a 9:07.65 in the 3000-meter run, and freshman Logan Mazullo cracked the top 10 with a time of 9:21.32.

Damato finished third in the 600 with a mark of 1:45.77.

The track and field teams have one last tune-up before the CC championships when they head to Haverford for the Keogh Invitational on Saturday, February 18.
