Men's Track and Field eighth after Day Two of CC Championships

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team had four place finishers on Saturday at Day Two of the 2015 Centennial Conference Track and Field Championships hosted by Muhlenberg College.

Senior Darius Jones was second in the high jump with a height of 6-7.5, just missing his personal record. Evan Shea was fourth with a personal best of 6-3.

In the discus, Adam Myers was seventh with a personal best of 133-4.

The 4x8 team of Vince Flood, Nolan Davis, Mitchell Kelly and Luke Schlegel finished eighth overall.

With Sunday being a day of finals, several athletes are in the mix after getting great times in Saturday's preliminaries.

In the 200, Jones and Patrick Mekongo will represent the Bears, while Jones, Mekongo and Tony Sierzega advanced to the 400 meter finals.

In the 400 hurdles, Mitchell and Shea will represent Ursinus.
