Men's Track and Field third at CC Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team finished with a score of 107 points on Sunday, good enough for third place overall at the 2013 Centennial Conference Championships hosted by the Bears.

The Bears took a couple of top spots on the final day, anchored by senior Chris Rountree winning the triple jump at 47-01.50 feet. Sophomore Darius Jones captured the 400 dash with a time of 48.75.

The team of senior Jordan Grannum, junior Ian Wiggins, sophomore Richard Schulz and Jones won the 4x4 at 3:19.72.

Jones also picked up a second-place finish in the 200 dash at 22.43, while Rountree was third in the 110 hurdles at 15.86.

Also in the 110, sophomore Evan Shea was fourth at 15.90 while freshman Erich Keyser was fifth at 16.28. Keyser was second in the 400 hurdles at 56.70

In the 400, Grannum was fifth at a time of 50.69.

The team of Grannum, Skyler McCormick, Keyser and Jones was sixth in the 4x1 at 43.59.

In the field events, sophomore Marquis Wilson was second at 43-11.75 feet, with junior Brian Clancy third at 43-08.50.

Wilson was third in the javelin at 174-10, with sophomore Brendan Bellomo in seventh at 152-04.
