Men's ITF starts season at Bow-Tie Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's indoor track and field team started their 2012-13 season with a second place finish in the Bow-Tie Classic with a total score of 71 points.

Sophomore Yhosua Gomez was second in the 200 dash with a time of 23.67, while senior Lance Jones was sixth at 24.13.

Sophomore Darius Jones was fourth at 51.32 in the 400 dash, followd by sophomore Richard Schulz in seventh at 52.21.

In the 800 run, freshman Andrew Mackin was sixth at 2:04.84, while freshman Vincent Flood was seventh at 2:05.02.

In the 5k, senior Sam Stortz was second at 16:39.33, while senior Amos Almy was fiffh at 17:19.92 and junior Charles Wacker was seventh at 18:06.42.

In the 60 hurdles, freshman Erich Keyser was fourth at 9.08 and freshman Skyler McCormick was sixth at 9.50.

In the 4x8 relay, Stortz, Mackin, Flood and freshman David Slade was second with a time of 9:03.46.

Sophomore Darius jones was second in the high jump at 6-03.50 feet.

Sophomore Marquis Wilson was fourth in the shot put at 43-9 feet.
