COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's indoor track and field team finished fifth at the 2012 Centennial Conference Championships Saturday afternoon at Ursinus College with a team total of 51 points.

In the shot put, senior Andrew Carr (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) was third with a throw of 14.59 meters, while freshman Marquis Wilson (New Rochelle, N.Y./The Hackley School) was seventh at 13.11 meters and sophomore Brian Clancy (Havertown, Pa./Havertown) was eighth at 12.95 meters.

In the high jump, freshman Darius Jones (Lawnside, N.J./Haddon Heights) was second with a height of 1.85 meters.

In the DMR, the team of senior Adam DiCaprio (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Poughkeepsie), freshman Miles Perkins (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia), junior Tyler Gofus (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) and senior Nick Pane (Radnor, Pa./Radnor) finished eighth with a time of 11:12.47.

The team of senior Lance Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./Friends Central), freshman Yhosua Gomez (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin), Darius Jones and senior Al Desiderio (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) finished second with a time of 1:32.80 in the 4x2 meter relay.

In the one mile run, sophomore Jatin Narang (Germanatown, Md./Clarksburg) finished eighth with a time of 4:29.21.

Darius Jones was sixth in the 400 meter dash at 52.42, while freshman Richard Schulz (Village Shires, Pa./The George School) was eighth at 53.30.

In the 60 meter hurdles, freshman Evan Shea (Acton-Boxborough, Mass./Acton) took sixth with a time of 9.24, while Lance Jones was fifth in the 60 meter dash at 7.27.

In the 4x8 relay, the team of Narang, junior Mark Gapinski (Sinking Spring, Pa./Holy Name), junior Tyler Gofus (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School) and senior Bogdan Lisachenko (Philadelphia, Pa./J.R. Materson) finished eighth with a time of 8:37.30.

Finally, the team of Desiderio, Darius Jones, Schulz and sophomore Ian Wiggins (Princeton, N.J./The Geroge School) finished seventh in the 4x4 relay at 3:40.43
