COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team start their season on Saturday by hosting the Bow-Tie Classic, finishing with a score of 88 points good enough for fourth place, and finished second among Division II and III schools.

Sam Stortz took a first-place finish in the 5k, finishing with a time of 16:01.40, while the team of Lance Jones, Jordan Grannum, Ian Wiggins and Miles Perkins won the 4x4 at 3:35.51.

Grannum had a second-place finish in the 400 meter dash at 52.42, while Wiggins was eighth in the dash at 54.49. In the sprints, Grannum took third in the 200 meter (23.47) and seventh in the 60 (7.30), while Darius Jones was fifth at 23.64. 

In the hurdles, Evan Shea was fourth at 9.20.

In the 5k, Jatin Narang was second at 16:01.44, with Mark Gapinski in seventh at 16:38.32 and Bogdan Lisachenko in eighth at 16:52.67.

In the relays, Jones, Grannum, Anthony Sierzega and Perkins were third in the 4x2 at 1:33.99, with Stortz, Narang, Ben Mosher and Adam DiCaprio teaming up to go third in the 4x8 at 8:54.52.

In the field events, Andrew Carr was second in the shot put at 13.99 meters, with Jones and Shea going fifth and sixth in the high jump as they both went 1.77 meters.
