Men's Track runs at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team had several standout performances at the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Saturday. There was no team scoring.

Junior Andrew Carr won the shot put event at a throw of 46-10.75, while teammate freshman Brian Clancy was eighth at 36-11.

Staying in the field, junior Chris Salaga was fifth in the javelin throw at 169-07.

In the sprints, sophomore Jordan Grannum was fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.40 and fifth in the 200 meter dash at 22.78.

In the 400 meter dash, senior Jeremy Garavel was fifth at 51.78, while senior Brandon Gifford was sixth at 52.16. Gifford was fifth at 1:58.13 in the 800 meter run.

In the high hurdles, freshman Chris Flood was eighth at 17.82. Sophomore Sam Stortz took fourth in the steeplechase at 10:26.37.

In the 4x1 relay, Grannum, junior Lance Jones, freshman Alfred Freeman and freshman Ian Wiggins were fourth at 45.00.
