HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College track and field teams participated at the non-scoring Seamus McElligot Invitational on Saturday afternoon hosted by Haverford College.
Sophomore Chris Rountree (Lawnside, N.J./Haddon Heights) won the triple jump with a leap of 45-11.25 feet and was second in the 55 hurdles at 7.98. Freshman Chris Flood (Houston, Texas/Kingwood) took seventh in the 55 hurdles at 8.85.
Junior Andrew Carr (Spring City, Pa./Phoenixville) won the shot put at 46-05.25 feet.
In the 55 dash, sophomore Jordan Grannum (New Rochelle, N.Y./Brunswick School) was second at 6.69, with junior Lance Jones (Philadelphia, Pa./Friends Central) taking fifth at 6.75. Grannum also had a second place finish in the 200 at 23.14
In the 800, senior Brendan Gifford (Lansdale, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was third at 1:59.31.
In the field events, Rountree took sixth in the long jump at 20-03 feet.
