Men's Track second at Delaware Invite

NEWARK, Del. – The Ursinus College men's indoor track and field team finished second at the Delaware Invitational on Friday with 175 points, one point behind Merchant Marine in the D2-D3 team scoring.

In the sprint events, Jordan Grannum finished second in the 60 meter dash at 7.32 and second in the 200 meter dash at 23.31. In the 60, Lance Jones was third at 7.35, while Tanner Johnson was fifth at 7.60.

In the 200, Jones was fourth at 24.22.

In the 800, Brendan Gifford was first at 1:59.81, with Jeremy Garavel finishing second at 2:05.97. Ben Mosher was fourth at 2:08.72.

In the distance events, Garavel was first in the mile run at 4:41.41, followed by Bodgan Lisachenko in second at 4:47.84 and Nick Pane in third at 4:55.35.

In the 3000 run, Sam Stortz was first at 9:14.07, followed by Mark Gapinski in second at 9:49.31.

Dean Scott won the 60 hurdles at 9.75.

In the 4x4 relay, the team of Grannum, Gifford, Ian Wiggins and Paul Luchon finished second at 3:38.38.

Scott took second in the high jump at 5-10.75, with Johnson finishing third in the long jump at 18-10.75.

In the shot put, Andrew Carr was first at 46-06.75, followed by Brian Clancy in second at 39-8 and Robert Shuttle in third at 38 feet.
