CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College outdoor track and field teams took part in the two-day Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University on Friday and Saturday. It was a non-scoring meet,
Sophomore Al Desiderio (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) was sixth in the 100 dash with a mark of 11.23 and took tenth in the long jump at 20-9.25 feet.
Senior Travis Youngs (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Mercerburg) was third in the triple jump at 43-07.75 feet, followed by freshman Chris Rountree (Lawnside, N.J./Haddon Heights) in fourth at 43-5 feet. Senior Nick Bendas (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) was sixth at 41-09.75 in the event.
Sophomore Andrew Carr (Spring City, Pa./Phoenixville) was sixth in the shot put at 42-09.50 feet.
