Men's track second at Collegeville Classic

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Ursinus College Track and Field teams hosted the Collegeville Classic on Friday night.

 For the men, the Bears finished in second with 85 points, while the women were fifth with 51 points.

Sophomore Andrew Carr (Spring City, Pa./Phoenixville) and senior Travis Youngs (Mount Vernon, N.J./Mercersburg) took first place finishes as Carr won the shot put with a throw of 42-08.25 feet, while Youngs won the triple jump at 43-04.50 feet.

Sophomore Al Desiderio (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) had a second place finish in both the long jump (20-7 feet) and the 200 meter dash at 23.01.

Sophomore Adam DiCaprio (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Poughkeepsie), senior Brent Godoy (Chichester, Pa./Chichester), junior Brett Imbemba (Marlboro, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) and junior Chris Senske (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) took fourth in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:20.24

Youngs picked up a fourth place finish in the high jump (six feet) while Desiderio was fourth in the 55 meter dash at 6.78.

Junior Justin Garavel (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow High School) was sixth in the mile run with a time of 4:41.35.
