COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Ursinus College indoor track and field teams hosted the Ursinus College Quad Meet on Friday afternoon. The women won the meet with 194 points, while the men were second with 141 points.
Senior Travis Youngs (Mount Vernon,
N.Y./Mercerburg) won both the triple jump (46-10) and the
high jump (6-04.75) while the shot put was won by sophomore
Andrew Carr (Spring City, Pa./Phoenixville)
(46-04.25).
Jeremy Garavel (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) got
the top mark in the 800 (2:03.47) and in the mile (4:34.45).
Freshman Jordan Grannum (New Rochelle, N.Y./Brunswick
School (Conn.)) took third in the 200 with a time of
23.67
The men won three relays on the day, starting with a top finish in
the 4x200. Senior Sean Hall (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks
East), senior Nick Bendas (Doylestown, Pa./Central
Bucks East), Anthony Gochal and Grannum
won the event with a time of 1:36.32
In the 4x800, junior Brett Imbemba (Marlboro, N.J./Red Bank
Catholic), senior Brett Godoy (Chichester,
Pa./Chichester), sophomore Ben Mosher (Hershey,
Pa./Lower Dauphin) and junior Jeff Centafont
(Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) won the event at
8:43.93, with freshman Mark Gapinski (Sinking Spring,
Pa./Holy Name), sophomore Adam DiCaprio
(Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Poughkeepsie), freshman
Tristan Lozuaway-McComsey (Newington,
N.H./Portsmouth), sophomore Bogdan Lisachenko
(Philadelphia, Pa./J.R. Masterson) winning the DMR at
12:37.40.
