Men's Tennis Garners Academic Awards

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Ursinus College men's tennis program received an All-Academic Team award from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and saw three players attain Scholar-Athlete status.

The Bears earned their fourth consecutive All-Academic Team award, which recognizes programs with a 3.20 grade-point average and above. The men's tennis squad compiled a 3.20 team GPA during the 2021-22 academic year.

Graduating senior Simbarashe Kanjanda along with rising juniors Will Oberholtzer and Ethan Yu were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, a distinction reserved for student-athletes with at least a 3.50 GPA.

Kanjanda wraps up his collegiate career by earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for all four years on the team. It is the second-straight year that Oberholtzer and Yu garnered the ITA Scholar Athlete accolade. The trio were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll squad and were joined by rising senior Noah Mandel plus rising junior Lars Jespersen.
