Men's Tennis Falls at Red-Hot Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team ran into red-hot Haverford at the wrong time on Tuesday afternoon, as the Fords rolled to a 9-0 sweep to stretch their winning streak to five and remain unbeaten in Centennial Conference play.

Ursinus (10-4, 3-3) saw its three-match win streak come to an end against a Haverford (7-6, 5-0) squad that is ranked 10th in the Atlantic South region and sits tied atop the conference standings.

Senior Henry Burke and freshman Connor DeFaber-Schumacher put up the best fight for the Bears, who won just 22 combined games across the nine matches. The number three doubles duo suffered a close 8-6 setback to Rob Kresch and Arnav Patodia. No Ursinus player garnered more than four games in singles play.

The men's tennis team looks to bounce back on Thursday, when it welcomes No. 30 TCNJ to campus for a non-conference contest.
