Men's Tennis doubles up Gettysburg, 6-3

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead, on their way to a 6-3 victory over Gettysburg (2-6, 0-5 Centennial) on Saturday afternoon.

At number one flight, Ursinus (9-7, 1-4 Centennial) freshman Caleb Kramer (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and junior Tyler Arsenault (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) defeated Dave Musser and Wesley Craft, 8-5. At number two flight, sophomore Henry Burke (Malvern, Pa./Westtown School) and junior Dalton Lynch (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey) defeated Wiley Vehslage and Christian Deschapelles, 8-2.

Finally, the team of freshman Peter Shields (Darien, Conn./Hotchkiss School) and senior Mike Melchiorre (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) defeated Kevin Roveda and Kevin DeRosa, 8-6.

In singles play, Arsenault won his match at number two flight by a 6-3, 6-3, score over Craft. Lynch was a winner at number four flight, 6-2, 6-1, while Shields was a three set winner at number five flight.
