F&M doubles up Men's Tennis, 6-3

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – In match moved indoors, and lasting close to five hours, the Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (5-4, 3-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (8-5, 0-2 Centennial) by a score of 6-3 at the Floy Lewis Bakes Fieldhouse on Tuesday.

Ursinus trailed 2-1 after doubles as the team of freshman Caleb Kramer (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and junior Tyler Arsenault (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) defeated Doug Kaplan and Jack Rothman 8-6 at first flight doubles.

At first flight singles, Kramer defeated Kaplan in a three-set affair 6-3, 5-7, 10-5, with Kaplan being the 18th-ranked player in the South Atlantic region.

Senior Mike Melchiorre (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) defeated Evan Drapeau at number six flight singles, 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 to score the third point for the Bears.

Ursinus heads to Dickinson on Friday afternoon.
