COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Moving the matches indoors on Saturday did not stop the Ursinus College men's tennis team, as the Bears (7-4) earned a Berks County sweep with a 9-0 victories over Penn State-Berks and Alvernia.

In the opening match against the Defenders, Caleb Kramer and Tyler Arsenault won over Drew Weinhold and Ryan Fritz, 8-3, with the team of Henry Burke and Dalton Lynch winning at number two flight over Will Byler and Volan Nnanpalle, 8-5.

At number three flight, Peter Shields and Mike Melchiorre defeated Dylan Deleon and Jerrad Seifrit, 8-2.

In singles play, Kramer defeated Weinhold at number one flight, 6-1, 6-1, while Arsenault defeated Byler at number two flight, 6-0, 6-1.

At number three flight, Burke defeated Nnanpalle, 6-7, 6-4, 10-4, while Lynch defeated Fritz at number four flight, 6-3, 6-3.

At number five flight, Shields defeated Deleon, 7-6 (13-11), 6-1, with Jordan Hodess picking up a win at number six flight over John Zimmerman, 9-8.

Against Alvernia, Kramer and Arsenault defeated Dan Minnich and Aaron Yuros at number one flight doubles, 8-1, with Burke and Lynch defeating Ben Daubenspeck and Jacob Conapitski at number two flight, 8-0. At number three flight, Shields and Melchiorre defeated Kyle Clark and Antonio Gaetani, 8-2.

In singles, Kramer defeated Minnich, 6-1, in the first set before Minnich retired. Arsenault defeated Yuros at second flight, 6-0, 6-2, with Burke picking up a win at number three flight, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0, over Daubenspeck.

At number four flight, Lynch defeated Conapitski, 8-3, with Melchiorre winning at number five flight, 8-5. Hodess picked up a win at number six flight, 8-0, over Antonio Gaetani.
