The Ursinus College Men's Tennis team opened their spring break trip on a winning note, upending Roger Williams 8-1 on Monday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.
The Bears (3-0) got off to a strong start, winning two of three doubles matches for a 2-1 lead. Seniors Evan Lord and Logan Metcalf-Kelly were 8-4 winners at second doubles, while senior Dylan Marsh and sophomore Tyler Arsenault were 8-3 victors in the third flight.
In singles, the Bears rolled as they won all 6 matches in straight sets. Evan Stutchin, Evan Lord and Tyler Arsenault swept flights one through three, only dropping a combined 9 games. Logan Metcalf-Kelly, Dalton Lynch and Dylan Marsh closed out the victory with solid wins to help pace the Bears.
Ursinus is right back on the courts on Tuesday, when they play a double header. They will face Principia College at 11:30 am, then play St. Scholastica in the night cap at 7:30 pm.
