Lucky 13
The Ursinus College Men's tennis team won their 13th match today, downing the Green Terror of McDaniel, 8-1.  The 13 wins eclipsed the school record of 12 wins in a single season, previously accomplished by the 1985 and 2012 teams.

The Bears (13-5, 4-3 CC) came out on fire in the doubles portion of the match, staking themselves to a quick 3-0 lead.  The first flight team of Evan Stutchin and Logan Metcalf-Kelly continued their recent solid play by posting a dominant 8-1 win.
At third doubles, Dylan Marsh and Tyler Aresenault won 8-3, and the second doubles team of Evan Lord and Alex Elbogen followed suit with an 8-2 victory.

In singles, the Bears continued to roll, winning 5 out of 6 matches.  Alex Elbogen (fourth flight) put the first singles point on the board, defeating Tom Orrok 6-4, 6-3.  Dylan Marsh (fifth) and Logan Metcalf-Kelly (sixth) won their matches by identical 6-4, 6-1 scores.

In the first and third flights, Evan Stutchin and Tyler Arsenault once again led the way for the Bears.  Stutchin prevailed over Brian Kron 6-1, 6-1, and Arsenault downed Dan Xinis 6-1, 6-4.  The pair is tied for the team lead in singles wins as both players have notched 17 wins this year.

On Wednesday the Bears return to action at 4:00 when they host Haverford College.  Haverford is currently ranked 8th in the Atlantic South region by the ITA.
